From Winter to Warm...
We spent Christmas in Indiana and left on the 26th to head to Venezuela to see Ricardo's family for New Years. The flights were only 1 hour to Atlanta and then 3.5 to Caracas but then another 3 hour car ride to Valencia. It was a LONG day but Alexander did an excellent job. We're here now and can I tell you it's about 90 degrees and it's not even noon. All of the windows are open and the breeze is blowing through Igsora's condo. So, I changed the theme of the blog to represent the tropical weather...that and we're headed to the beach in 2 days!!! Am I excited...not at all. Alexander is again enjoying the spoils of his Abuelita and her love of doing whatever it is that he wants. My parents get those joys almost on a weekly basis but of course also get the joys of discipline too...not Abuelita. She makes him feel like he can do no wrong and he knows just how to play his cards right let me tell ya.
Christmas fun
Alexander's second Christmas was so hard on him...he hardly had any gifts at all!!! And, the gag gifts...oh the gag gifts. They ranged from lavatory items from the Department of Corrections to Lesbian Connection magazine. We nearly laughed our heads off! Of course, it wouldn't be Christmas without Melanie's feety pajamas and Cha Chi's home made Christmas bags.

Carosel 2009
The annual Berkshire Christmas was this past weekend at the Carosel. Always a fun time!!! It's so fun to see Alexander now compared to last Christmas. He's running all over the place and really enjoying having fun riding the Carosel. Poor Noah wanted to hug Alexander so bad and all Alexander would do is run away.

Karate School Christmas Party
This past weekend Ricardo hosted his first Karate School Christmas party. We had hotdogs gallore...lots of dancing, and fun. There were about 120 people there so it was busy the entire time. ChaChi brought all of her DJ materials and played great music for the kids to dance to and play some fun karate games. Alexander got in on the DJ action too. He, of course, couldn't keep his love of dancing to himself and impressed most of our guests with his rhythm. There was even a pintata. Mom and Steve were a God Send...there's no doubt. They brought lots of stuff for the party and helped SO much with serving and keeping Alexander occupied. Everyone seemed to have such an awesome time and Ricardo has gotten a lot of great feedback. I know Alexander had a great time...he even walked away with a gift from one of Ricardo's students...a brand new Tonka steamroller.
