After the horrific tragedy last Friday I decided to contact my son's school and tell them that we want enhanced security. I'm posting this so that anyone that reads it might take a stand and do the same. We, as parents, siblings, wives, husbands, friends, need to stand up and say we're not going to stand for this any longer. We're not going to allow Satan and these horrible people to rule our world and make us scared to leave our homes, leave our kids at school, go to the movies, or even the mall. It's our time to say NO! I would encourage all of you to email or call your local school, your children's school, grandchildren's school, and even day cares to try and put an end to this and help our kids stay safe!

Our son attends preschool at the XYZ School and is a member as well. After the horrible tragedy on Friday in CT, we want to inquire if anything will change with the security at the in the preschool wing. The doors are not kept locked during school hours nor is there anything keeping anyone from entering the hallway (at either end) to the day care area or preschool at any time. We would like to request this be evaluated immediately and some security measures be put in to place. Perhaps parents and or visitors should have to be checked in prior to entering the hall even during pick up times. We do not want something like this happening to our son or his classmates when it can be prevented. We would welcome an additional 10 minutes to pick up our son over a phone call that something tragic has happened.
