Friday was my 36th birthday. I took the day off months ago because during the past nearly 10 years of my professional career I have NEVER taken off my birthday. I did leave work early last year but it was because I was ill. Not exactly the best way to spend your birthday. This year was great. I was greeted early in the morning by Alexander carrying a cute little birthday cupcake (which he ate) complete with a lit, trick candle, and Ricardo with a great gift and a wonderfully written card. He had picked out a great new digital camera for me which we've already used several times. We spent the entire day at home in our PJs watching tv and playing with Alexander and then headed out that evening to eat dinner with our friends at my favorite Mexican resturaunt, Little Mexico. We know the owners and they are the sweetest people. Again, had an awesome time drinking margharitas and eating entirely too much food! Definately the best way to spend an evening! My sister, Krystal, and our friend Esther came over afterwards and hung out. Mel gave me her gift which was hand made and totally awesome (pictures above). I got some really cool stuff from a handmade bracelet and decorative box made out of Toqua nuts to a gift card from Krystal. Totally great birthday!!!
