2 Peas in 2 Pods

A friend at work is due at the same time I am so we're always comparing stories, bellies, and of course we're both on the countdown to our due dates. Thankfully she's felt better during the last few months because she was horribly sick. Now, she feels great and looks even better!!! Nevermind the fact that she's like a head taller than I am.
A very sweet colleague of ours is always running around with a camera and last week decided we needed our pictures taken. We laughed the entire time she took them and poor Ricardo had to stand there and take it all in.

25 Weeks...almost 26

I'm nearing the 3 month final countdown so of course we're taking more and more pictures. It's going to be very interesting to see my already big belly grow even more.

Long time no see...

After not seeing Lori, Pete or the kids since our wedding in 2006, we thought it was about time to get together again not only with them but with Teresa and Chad and their kids. We had so much fun sitting around talking, watching the kids play on my swing (hehe), and eating. Lori and I both forgot to get our cameras out when we should have so the only pictures of the kids I took are of them either in the background or half asleep. Livie stole the show! The highlight of the day was watching the guys play Wii. Then, Lori got in on the action and challenged Ricardo not once but twice to boxing. Watching the two of them compete was a hoot!!! Pete decided Ricardo needed to practice so he left the Wii at our house over night since they stayed around the corner at a hotel and were coming back today. Needless to say, he practiced for several hours after they left. This morning we went to eat breakfast where Livie showed us her best Darth Vader and then it was back to our house for more Wii. I can't wait to see all of them again really soon. Thankfully we talk on email like 500 times a day or I'd go crazy!

Project Swing!

My two best friends are coming this weekend and between the three of us we have 5 1/2 kids...the 1/2 being ours. hehe. So, I decided to do some things in the yard like get the swing set all set up for the kids to play on. In the spirit of saving money and being green I decided to spend a very little amount of money and re-use some wood I had in the barn to make a swing. The whole project cost us all of $10 and that was just for the rope. I had the varnish, the wood, and the structure was already in place in our yard of course. I think the kids are going to love being able to swing and play all over the yard. And, it held me up so I know it will support a few kids.

The Rains Came Down and the Floods Came Up!

During the heavy rains we had a few weeks ago, we had some flooding in our yard and street but our neighbors down the street really got hit hard. We knew it was crazy outside when the ducks were swimming down the street!
