First Bike Ride

Tonight my sister and my friend Bobby took Alexander on his first bike ride. He had a great time although we finally had to remove the helmet and go old school without one because it kept falling over his face and he wasn't very fond of that, for sure. After the bike ride we all went back to Bobby's and sat outside in his beautiful back yard and enjoyed the weather. Alexander loved looking at all the trees and the dog and most of all, playing with his aunt Mel who he absolutely adores. Then the chickens crossed the road...no really. Bobby's neighbors have chickens and they come over to his house all the time and have to cross the road to do so. Alexander has never seen chickens before and he was totally into them. He just smiled and laughed as Bobby tossed bread at his feet for them to eat.

Last week in pictures...lots and lots of pictures!

Last weekend we drove up to Fort Wayne to see my two best friends and their families. Unfortunately, Lori couldn't bring her clan because 2 of her kids have had fifths disease and we were worried it would spread to Alexander so she came by herself to visit. I wish we could have seen the kids but it was super fun none the less. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather and actually allowed our husbands to participate. hehe. Alexander had a ball playing with Ben and Macy's toys and crawling all over the house. I only wish I could see them more because we've been friends since kindergarten and I just miss them so much. Thank God for email! We also took Alexander to the Marion County Fair. He LOVED it...maybe all the sugar we gave him helped. The last two pics are of Alexander just fooling around in our house over the weekend. He's all over the place and just loves exploring!!!

More rotten by the day...

Alexander turned 9 months old on Friday and he must have gotten the notice that once you turn 9 months you become twice as rotten. He's crawling all over the place and of course, pulling himself up on whatever he can get his hands on. We had to remove the coffee table and the end tables because he was nearly pulling the end tables over and hitting his head on the coffee table. We were afraid he'd bust a tooth or something like that. But, now I have an excuse to buy the ottoman leather coffee table I've been wanting. hehe. Alexander also had his 9 month appointment today. He is 19.6 pounds and 19 inches long. His doctor said he's in the 75% for length and the 35% for weight...the same he's been since his 4 month appointment. She said what he's eating is right on track and he's perfect. Like I told his Dr, he'll appreciate that thinness later in life, that's for sure. She totally agreed. He's progressing exactly where he should be. We just love his doctor, she's so nice and actually takes the time to talk to us. She never makes us feel rushed, even when Alexander is looking at her like she has a third eye or something. hehe
*Don't forget to watch the videos below to see little man in action!

First time at the zoo!

We packed up one of the Guerrero Jeeps today and headed for the Indy Zoo. It was super nice outside...a little warm but not smouldering by any means. Unfortunately, little man fell asleep on the way, so the trip was not as exciting as we would have liked it to be since we had to wake him up. He was a tad subdued the entire time. But, he did get to see the baboons, rhinos, the polar bear, and the elephants. He wasn't overly thrilled about any of it to be honest until we got some shaved ice. That seemed to do the trick for a while so we thought he'd really enjoy the dolphin show. NOT REALLY! We saw about 5 minutes of it and we had to leave because he was not into it at all. Our trip to the zoo did not go as planned but it was worth it none the less.
