Our dojo's first world champ!

Conversations at the pool

Stories from a 7 year old...second edition

I have to post this story because seriously it's a riot! It's another conversation with Alexander from last night.

We see a guy pulled over and the cops are searching his car.
Alexander asks: why are they searching his car like that.
I said well, he's not handcuffed but maybe they're looking for drugs or...
Alexander: what are drugs?
I try to explain in a 7 year old way
Alexander: or, they could be looking for guns or a pick ax.

A pick ax? Where do these kids get this stuff? Is he a miner in his spare time? Oh my!

Stories from a 7 year old

So Alexander was asking about some friends who were married, divorced, and got married again. He is 7 after all and wanted to understand. So, he says...what's the big deal with divorce anyway? I explain that it can be bad and use us as an example of what could happen if people get divorced (living apart, etc.). Then, I go on to explain he doesn't have to worry about that because we're in this forever and won't get divorced.

His parting question: Does daddy know this???

Ricardo, hope you're in the know! LOL!

Never a dull moment!

Mia had fun at Samantha's baby shower although I'm fairly certain she thought it was a party for her. Thanks for including us. Had a great time! ❤️

Going for a run

First to Second

Went to school a first grader and came home a second grader...ended the year at 51.5 inches and 72 pounds (Hey giant child)! He's already reading at a 3rd grade level, oral reading fluency is off the charts, and doing above the requirements in math. We are so happy with his year and really thankful for his teacher Mrs. WeWora. She's a very kind and thoughtful teacher that truly cares.
