There are no words...

I share this picture with much hesitation! My best friend Lori, who is also in the picture to my left, sent this to me today. We figured we're in like 7th grade or so. Clearly my mom and many of us in the picture were sporting perms!!! I believe the line up from the back left to right is Kathy Lawson, Thilia Pier, (not sure), Diane Nice, MOM and bottom is ME, Lori, Melissa Robinson, and Dawn Grandstaff.

We Love Our Baby G!

Well, this was my first weekend after becoming a working mom. I couldn't believe how excited I was to see closing time on Friday finally arrive. We decided to spend the weekend mostly at home just having fun, playing with baby, and doing a little shopping on Sunday. My wonderful husband deemed Sunday as family day so there were no phone or visitor interruptions and we spent a majority of the day in our pajamas until we ran out to grab some lunch at McDonalds and stop at the book store. Alexander didn't really care about running out because he slept the whole time. As promised though, I took several photos over the weekend at our adorable little man. We just can't believe how much he learns everyday and how much he continues to grow! We have discovered that he LOVES the Noggin cartoon channel and we really enjoy all the great lessons they teach kids about sharing, music, and even diversity. I recommend it to anyone with kids!

Am Grandma - Will Travel

As most of you know my mother in law Igsora arrived last weekend from Venezuela to stay with us for a while and act as our nanny. The week has gone very successfully and she has seemingly had a wonderful time spending the days with Alexander and he has equally enjoyed it as well from the smiles he has at the end of the day. Hopefully, over time, her honeymoon phase will continue and she'll enjoy taking care of him. I saw this quote today and I thought it was perfect for the situation...we'll see how true it is here in a few months.

"If your baby is "beautiful and perfect, never cries or fusses, sleeps on schedule and burps on demand, an angel all the time," you're the grandma."-- Theresa Bloomingdale

My two favorite boys!

I went to our bedroom this morning because it seemed awfully quiet back there and I found Ricardo and Alexander sleeping away. I guess Alexander fell back asleep after he ate and daddy just had to join in. It was so cute because they were sharing a pillow so I just had to snap a shot.

I'm a big boy!

Today was the first day Alexander played in his Baby Einstein activity center and he was so excited. Between the fun of that and the cartoons, he couldn't have been more excited. We can't believe he's big enough to sit in it and actually play with the toys. His little feet just kept movin and grovin the entire time!

Special Bond

You always hear that there's a special bond between an Aunt and her nephew but until you witness it, you don't always understand. I took this picture this weekend of Alexander and his Aunt Melanie. He LOVES her so much and everytime she walks in the room his face just lights up!

My First Bat

This weekend we were able to spend some time with Aunt Mary and Uncle Rick since we didn't get to see them over the holidays. We ordered pizza, at way too much chocolate fondue as well as the yummy dessert they brought as well. As always they were way too generous with the gifts and we just loved all of them. But, the best one of all in Alexander's eyes was his brand new red bat. It's his first one and as you can see he was quite smitten with his gift.

Cutie

As most of you know I have two best friends, Lori and Teresa, and between all of us we have 6 adorable kids. Well, Lori's youngest Livie turned 3 on December 28th and Teresa and I and our families sent her the cutest fury vest for a gift. Lori said she loved it! She's so cute and I just had to post a couple of pics of her in her new fury fun.

Looking back...retiring the NB clothes

We bought this onsie for the hospital when Alexander was born and he did indeed wear it. Thankfully he's so skinny and long that he can still wear "most" of his short sleeved onsies so I put this one on him the other day. Unfortunately, when we went to take it off we realized it had to be retired along with a lot of his other things because despite his skinniness, his arms are pretty muscular and the onsie was making red marks on his arms. Oops

I'm a big boy!

Our little man is starting to sit up, hold his head up, and really just growing very fast. He just loves sitting in the recliner and in the corner of the couch like a "real" big boy. And, he's so darn cute you just can't help but to take pictures of him whenever you get the chance!

I Look Like Daddy!

My best friend Lori knows I am dead set against dressing children alike or dressing them like the parents but I bought these shirts for my two favorite guys at Christmas and had to take a picture. I have two handsome Latin Boys on my hands here!
