We started off our weekend busy as usual with a dinner out with our friends Kelly and Trevor and they’re kids then off to the fun park for kid bowling and go carting. To make a long story short, Alexander has not learned the fine art of taking turns and Ricardo almost got into a fight with some hillbilly in the go cart track. NICE! Kelly made a procolomation that it probably was not going to turn out really great for the other guy. EEK! Thankfully Alexander ran over there and the guy just walked off. Kind of wish that would have happen…haven’t seen a good ass kicking in a very long time!

Saturday Mel and I took Alexander out to breakfast then headed home to get out my neighbor’s leaf blower and made a huge pile of leaves so we could make random yard bags like spiders, pumpkins, and cat wind socks. Yes…I said cat wind socks! So we started the process, she put Alexander down for a nap and us two grown women sat in the front yard in a pile of leaves making these things, hanging them with wire, and sculpting a rather large spider. Well, after all was said and done I had about 3 large bags of leaves left so we bagged them up and then I decided I’d start throwing them at Melanie. I even went so far as to wave them in the air like some midevil weapon to see if I could hit her. As she got pelted with them she pretended she was hurt and fell over. Then, hopped up and started throwing them at me yelling “Get off my property!” Ya, you heard me…we threw bags of leaves at each other. By the time it was all over we were both laughing so hard we were crying.

Ate dinner with my parents on Saturday night…entertaining as usual.

Sunday, we headed to Kelly’s parent’s house for Chili and fun with the kids until that is my child showed everyone his normal self and began to act a fool. UGH!

Weekend at the park!

We love you Mr. Happy Burger!

Happy Birthday Noah!

This weekend was full of fun stuff for the Guerreros! Saturday, Mel and I went to a community garage sale and got some nice stuff…for everyone else it seemed. There was limited little boy stuff but I did score a couple of things that he can wear now and later and aunt MeMe of course found some really cool vintage t-shirts for him as well that he can probably wear next summer. Then, we headed to Noah’s 3rd birthday party in Logansport. Um…totally made my 2 best friends hate me by sending them pictures of our yummy food. Oh the joy of a Happy Burger Cheeseburger and Coke.

Sunday, was the big karate Corn Hole Tournament at the Park. Ricardo had about 150 people or so (maybe more) at a park in Indy to have a special training day and host a Corn Hole Tournament for the adults. Did everyone have a blast…oh ya! The day would not have been complete though without our friend Chris totally falling over a fence after it gave way and my friend Kelly putting a GIANT rubber snake in the cooler for us to sit and watch as the parents jumped out of pure terror! Oh yes, she got the snake and I lured them in with a “before you sit down could you get me some water”…best trick ever! Alexander had the best time playing with his good friends and doing dare devil stunts that scared me half to death. NICE!

A few of us then went to eat at our favorite BBQ place, of course owned by another karate family, and sat there for a couple of hours talking and having a great time watching Nate and Alexander mess up the windows with baby wipes. Not pretty let me tell ya! Felt kinda bad about it but not bad enough to do anything since they were entertained and having such a fun time. Can I get an Amen from all of the parents on that one!

Are you comfy?

Alexander fell asleep at our friend's house on Saturday night which he NEVER does...we can only attribute it to his little crush on Nicole (Cole). He now walks around and says "need Cole". He likes the older women that's for sure. PS...that's Ricardo's National Champ. Alexander knows how to pick em! HAHAHA

Girlfriend's Weekend

Every Labor Day weekend my two best friends and I get together without husbands or kids. This year I hosted our gathering. We started off the weekend by hanging out at our house for an hour so Aunt Teresa and Aunt Lori could play with Alexander and say hi to Ricardo and Grampy Steve. Grampy (P) decided he needed to come and have a boys night with Alexander and Ricardo...details about that to come. We soon headed downtown to the Conrad to begin our fun. We literally sat in our hotel room for about 2 hours just talking and enjoying the fact that no one was asking for our attention or needing a diaper change. My friend Melissa joined the fun and picked us up to head to dinner and drinks. I don't think I've laughed that hard in years. We spent hours sitting in a martini bar laughing and listening to 80's music. Yes, it was 80's night. Yes, that's a bartender dressed up like Slash and yes we were drinking, A LOT!

Thanks to Melissa for joining us and adding to our fun...you were a great addition to our girlfriend's weekend!!! The next day we went to breakfast and shopped and hung out. Such a blessing to have 2 best friends of 30 years to lean on and have a bond with. Thanks to both of you for your love and friendship. I am truly blessed!
While we were out Friday Grampy and Ricardo took my innocent child to HOOTERS and taught him to say Tatas and Nice Tatas. Yes, that's right. He even started flirting with the girls and got the server and got her to put a heart on a napkin and write his name. UGH!
