Flowers from my boyfriend!

Yes, you read that right...flowers from my boyfriend! I had a cute, blonde haired, blue eyed young man show up at my house on Saturday and present me with these gorgeous flowers. Does it matter that he's 4? Nathan, our friend's son, decided to give me some flowers and then yesterday evidently declared I was his girlfriend. Yes, Ricardo has competition!

Shake that Latin booty!

Ricardo, his mom, and his uncle were dancing last night with Alexander and it was so cute. He really got in to it as usual so I had to grab my camera! It's in the genes, I truly believe it!!!

My Little Manny is 2!

This weekend Alexander turned 2 which is hard to believe. We had a huge party on Saturday (will post pics of that later) and then on Sunday we went out to eat at Caraba's for the special event.

Here are some pics of him enjoying his birthday gifts from all of our wonderful friends and family and some from dinner as well.

Tournament Weekend

This past weekend was the Illinois Tournament Ricardo and his students attend every year. Of course, the team walked away with over 20 medals...no surprise the national champ got another first! Ricardo did really well and won all of his matches until the final and got second. Unfortunately, I didn't get to take too many pictures of the kids because

My mom joined the fun this year and went with us which was really fun. We shopped and hung out which Alexander really enjoyed. Him and Nate even walked away with a Hooters T-Shirt compliments of Grammy. Nicole got a nice pink Hooters bag which she just loved. Alexander totally enjoys hanging out with all of the kids and their families. We're so blessed to have found such wonderful friends which are more like family most of the time!

ER Trip #1

Greenstick Fracture...in all the right places
Temporary Cast...the sling lasted for about 2 hours!
Waiting to see the Dr. for the cast
Daddy using his phone as a TV to broadcast Mickey Mouse Clubhouse after the cast was put on
Clearly not amused!
Ya, that's right...I'm cool even with my gimp arm!

Alexander and Osito both with their casted arms
This kid cannot possibly get any cuter!

We were finally initiated into true parenthood of an active boy on Friday when Alexander fell from a chair at the karate school and had to be taken to the ER. Thankfully the hospital where I had him is down the street from the karate school so it didn't take long. When your husband calls and asks where he should take your child if he hurt his arm and now it's BENT...you freak out slightly!!!

Thankfully after what seemed like the LONGEST drive ever I got to the hospital to find my perfect child with a bent arm and Ricardo visibly upset. Prayers were answered when I found he didn't act like he was in much pain and the hospital staff were very patient and kind and reassuring.

We went to the orthopedic doctor to today to have his cast put on and more x-rays taken. He now has a very cool black cast and surprisingly enough is acting like it was always there. Kids are truly resilient and God is always good!!!
