Thanksgiving 2009

Thanksgiving 2009 was a day to remember. Alexander got to enjoy the big people food for the first time and he literally ate the entire day which amazed most of the family. He also got to spend most of the day in the basement playing with Noah and hanging out with the guys and eating all of Grandpa Berkshire's whipped cream off of his ginger bread. He loves going to Grammy and Grampy's because they have the coolest toys and enough to keep upstairs and downstairs which in the world of a one year old is totally the best thing ever. And, the attention he gets doesn't hurt either let me tell ya!!! Sarah and I washed all the dishes after lunch and had my mom laughing so hard she nearly peed her pants. There was card playing, Ricardo taking advantage of a free computer to check the weather in Venezuela, football on TV, Grampy acting silly, and of course way too much food. Great day!!!

Seriously, can he get any cuter?

On The Move!

Alexander has been trying to walk for a month or so but this weekend he finally took off and now he's everywhere.

First Karate Tournament

This weekend Ricardo hosted his first internal Karate tournament for all the kids he teaches. It was an awesome day and we had a great turnout. From what we could count it was about 142 people that paid, not including the kids that were with parents, and those that snuck in after it started. The kids did a great job and my family had a wonderful time watching a tournament for the first time and we greatly appreciated their support and help. Ricardo insisted Alexander wear his Karate uniform before it started and everyone thought he was just the cutest. Ricardo and ChaChi performed a really cool demonstration with weapons and all of the kids performed really neat demonstrations too like how kids learn self defense techniques through Karate. They used a fake knife and a wallet and one of the girls played the girlfriend and beat the crap out of one of the boys. It was a riot. Actually what was a riot was all of us using the knife to pretend we were stabbing each other. hehe. Everyone loved the little, little kids that competed as well. They are so cute and try so hard. We're just very thankful for the success of this school and that it continues to grow.

My best friend is trying to poison the youth of today with her ongoing advertisements on hating vegetables...primarily broccoli!

Treats for Daddy

Daddy needed some of Alexander’s food evidently. He wouldn’t stop feeding him over and over at Cheesecake Factory. Gotta love plain chicken breast and balled up bread. LOL

Alexander has been walking for a while…taking a few steps here and there but he’d never go all out and just walk. This weekend Ricardo started his “conditioning” as he called it, and he really started taking off. He walked across the living room a few times and last night voluntarily walked to one of his toys on his own. Ricardo and I held his hand and he walked around Target and of course Ricardo was trying to coax him to take off in the deli section. hehe
