Christmas in the new place

In our old house it took me about 4 hours to decorate for Christmas. One tree was all we had room for and I knew where everything went each year. This year on the other hand, we've got over 2,000 square feet and I didn't know where to put everything. So, I started last weekend getting everything out and finally finished with the last strand of lights in Wednesday. Ya, nearly 4 days! We have three trees(thanks mom), a fireplace fully decorated, and garland around the banisters. I even put really pretty red lights around the landscape outside...again thanks to my mom for helping with that! Hopefully it won't take me 4 days to take it all down! Our tree in the formal living room is decorated only in vintage ornaments that belonged to our neighbor that passed away and a couple of old ones that were are my moms and one new one I bought that had a Bible verse on it. I love seeing all the great ornaments that belonged to Beryl from her travels and years of marriage and family. She was such a special friend and I'm so happy to have her things in our home. I'm sure they're right at home with her old chairs in the room!

Pinterest Live

Tonight was Pinterest Live at our church and it was a lot of fun. The first 500 people got goody bags with gift cards from restaurants and from a local karate school (huh, wonder who those were from...ha). There were tables upon tables with crafts, food, make up, clothes...you name it. I took a few pics of our pals working at tables and the decorations.

Happy Birthday Husbando

We celebrated Ricardo's 36th birthday this weekend. We started our celebration Friday night with the Skinners, Wilson's and Camerons. Saturday night at our friend's Halloween party we had a cake and candles then Sunday we had the fam over for Venezuelan food and more cake! Ricardo and I always enjoys hearing stories about his triumphant survival at birth. He was not expected to survive being born in 1977 at only 2 pounds in an emergency situation. His mom was around 6 months pregnant at the time. God had bigger and better plans for my special guy! I told him yesterday he was made to find me and make the great life we have! I just love hearing people tell me how Ricardo has made an impact on their lives and on the lives of their children. It's great to know how loved your spouse is! I always tell people that Ricardo is the real deal and I mean it. He's a great dad, a wonderful husband, and a fantastic athlete that cares about his sport and his students. You won't find many guys in this world like him and I'm forever grateful that God gave him to me!!!
